Wonderland -- the Drupal edition
I am creating another iteration of Wonderland Labs; the former was a free-form XOOPS-enabled wiki. Part of the rationale for this is an excuse to explore Drupal. But I also want a cleaner, more "Web 2"ish structure, and XOOPS is kind of showing its age.
I have to say I am extremely pleased with how much I can do without cutting into the source. I am also pleased with myself for decoding the administration of Drupal, which is something between a game of concentration and a drinking game.
The real win for me was being able to whip up a book review template without any custom coding. (I know I will have to do some coding to make the amazon linkage, but that's for another day.) It was thrown together with someting called the "Content Construction Kit" which is kind of a "form builder" that lets you weld content into whatever structure you want.
In any case, I got the brunt of the job done in a day, and am hoping to continue this conservation of energy going forward.
