The World is Flat

The utility of a coding component can never be greater than a developers' ability to use it. Put negatively: If you code an element that your developers hate and cannot understand, it is by definition counterproductiive.
You can't seperate utility from clarity. If your developers are convinced that the world is flat, you need a codebase that is based on Euclidean geometry.
